We integrate spam protection into your mail archiving system and check incoming and outgoing email for spam and phishing. It is based on several defense methods: blacklisting and whitelisting, advanced RBL, automatic checking of sender and recipient addresses, and syntactic spam detection. The combination of these proven filter methods achieves an anti-spam rate of around 98 percent.

How our spam protection works

Every day, countless emails reach every company — and a considerable share of them is unwanted or even dangerous. Our spam protection checks every incoming message in several stages before it even arrives in your inbox. This keeps your working day free of junk advertising, fraud attempts and malicious attachments.

First, the origin of every email is verified: suspicious sender addresses, forged sender domains and known spam sources are reliably detected and blocked. Our system then analyzes the content of the message for typical spam characteristics, suspicious links and wording that points to phishing.

Attachments are additionally scanned for malware before they are delivered. Messages that are clearly identified as spam are automatically placed in a quarantine area instead of clogging your inbox. From there you can check at any time whether an email that was wrongly filtered out was legitimate after all, and release it if necessary.

Individual whitelists and blacklists let you tailor the spam protection further to your needs: trusted senders are never blocked, known troublemakers reliably end up in the filter. Since spam methods are constantly evolving, we continuously update the underlying filter rules and detection patterns so that the protection remains effective against new scams.
